Whether you are an independent moving company or a van line agent, AMSA membership is your key to essential industry tools and resources that help you run your business and keep you in compliance.
AMSA’s membership period runs from September 1 to August 31 the following year. Movers can join at any time. New mover members receive an introductory rate of $680 and a one-time application fee of $125 for a total of $805. After the first year, membership dues are based on your annual moving and storage revenue.

|ProMover Certification for Interstate Movers
The ProMover seal represents nationally recognized, industry-wide standards for professional movers, and it builds on and enhances your company’s and/or your van line’s brand identity as an ethical, professional business.
After you’ve been an interstate AMSA member in good standing for 18 months, you’ll be eligible to become a ProMover, at which time you’ll also be listed as a ProMover on our consumer website, Moving.org, and able to display the ProMover logo on your business cards, letterhead, website and trucks. All ProMovers are subject to annual review to ensure they continue to meet program requirements.
AMSA represents and promotes the industry’s interests on Capitol Hill with lawmakers and regulators, working to eliminate unfair taxes, fighting fraudulent movers, and promoting common-sense regulation. AMSA’s full-time, active lobbying team deals with issues that can help or hurt our industry. We also promote the value of full-service movers and our certification programs.

AMSA provides the essential information you need to know to stay current in the industry and navigate complex compliance, regulatory and legal issues. You’ll get our AMSA Today e-newsletter every other Tuesday, filled with the latest news and developments.
